CBD Research

What The Updated Science Says

The following information is in NO WAY intended to suggest in ANY WAY that CBD (Cannabidiol) has been proven to prevent, cure or otherwise improve any medical condition or enhance wellness. Rather the information is a compilation of research presented on the NIH library regarding the many topics suggested in the highly-comprehensive Endocannabinoid System Study (see Section Two:What is ECS?) prepared by Drs. Pal Pacher, Sandor Batkai and George Kunos in which they hypothesized the potential of ECS to: hold therapeutic promise as an emerging target for Pharmcotherapy.

Our purpose in presenting the listing is simply to illustrate the vast amount of research that has been conducted by scientists, doctors and other experts from all over the World – as the connection between CBD and our Endocannabinoid System has become increasingly-recognized. Like most health-related topics, opinions regarding CBD vary among these experts. Additionally some topics (e.g. pain with 582 studies) received more attention than others (e.g. obesity with 44 studies).

What is certain is that as CBD use and acceptance continues to grow in our society the importance of reliable, impartial information is self-evident. For this reason we thought it meaningful to provide a possible beginning point for those practitioners and patients wishing to learn more about CBD to undertake their own research - believing Drs. Pacher, Batkai and Kunos’s obvious expertise a logical template to build upon.

Here are the results of that search process:

Additional CBD Research Topics

To reiterate, we encourage Practitioners or Individuals considering CBD to conduct their own research. The following are a number of potential subject areas not referenced in Drs. Pacher, Batkai and Kunos’s highly-comprehensive and insightful 2006 study we found of interest:

  1. Autism
  2. Autoimmune diseases
  3. Brain Cancer
  4. Breast Cancer
  5. Cervical Cancer
  6. Concussion
  7. Fibromyalgia
  8. Obesity
  9. Ovarian Cancer
  10. Pancreatic Cancer
  11. Prostate Cancer

We also thought it valuable in these unprecedented times where continued variation in COVID-19 strains has created continuing uncertainty for us all - and shown how vulnerable we are to disease to also include the following:

  1. COVID-19
  2. Immune System

If there are other issues of particular interest to you we encourage you to click on any of the links we have provided which will bring you to the NIH website where you can simply change the “topic” at the end of Cannabidiol and (e.g.) Cancer and see the number of studies for that research subject for yourself. Here for example is Cannabidiol and the Endocannabioind System.

In addition to the Scientific Studies referenced above there is an abundance of other research information available about the Endocannabinoid System, Hemp, and assorted CBD Products. We encourage you to undertake whatever research feels right for you in learning what you need to know to make the right decision about how/IF CBD fits into your Professional and/or Personal life.

PoP grew from the shared intention of a group of scientists, herbalists and business partners to improve the lives of millions of people by making the well-documented benefits of CBD available at the best possible quality, price and overall value.

The result of that effort IS Path of Purity!
